The Cost Effectiveness of Demand Management
One side of the Demand Management Balance is the degree of efficiency of use of the water resource. Many pilot and field projects have been developed and studied over recent times. The purpose of this portal is to collate and compare the archive of projects. In this way we enable water professionals to gauge effectiveness and plan accordingly
As a part of the UKWIR web service the primary purpose of the site is to provide this knowledge to UK water operators. However, the service is open to all-comers, for whom we will provide a private account, which you may use to search, browse, analyse and even contribute to the knowledge base. If you require a Username and Password please click here and complete the Application Form.
The system enables you to:
- View the standard summary results of individual projects
- View the gaps in current demand management knowledge
- Add data for projects that are not already in the database
- Before adding new projects, please read the Guidance Notes
- Update data for ongoing projects that are already on the database
- Use the discussion forum
All sections of the site are supported by a Help file, reached by clicking the icon, displayed at the top right hand corner of relevant pages..
This website has been produced as part of the UKWIR project WR25/C “The Cost Effectiveness of Demand Management”. The project follows on from project WR25/A “Sustainability of Water Efficiency Measures”. A standardised data collection and analysis method is used.
